About Chris
Specialising in financial strategies for those with high net wealth, Chris helps business owners, professionals, executives and senior managers achieve lifestyle and wealth goals.

Chris’ clients are usually busy attending to other responsibilities and his holistic advice approach helps them to tax-effectively make the most of their high income and enjoy their lifestyle today while shoring up their future financial life.

In broad strokes, Chris advises those who are in the wealth accumulation, pre-retirement and retired stages of life.

For wealth accumulators, life is often defined by career, child raising and high level expenses (home loan repayments, school fees and the like). However, it is more often the lack of time that prevents this group from effectively managing and protecting their income and the lifestyle that depends on it, let alone planning their retirement.

For pre-retirees who are often at the pinnacle of their careers, when their attention turns to winding back their work life, paying off any remaining debt and implementing strategies for tax-effectively making the most of their surplus cash, is top of mind. Once retired, it’s all about income streams, the result of effective management of investments and superannuation and having the financial confidence and freedom to live a retirement of choice.

While each of these life stages are distinctly different, the commonality is Chris’ knowledge and holistic financial planning approach that considers and incorporates matters such as risk, tax, asset protection, estate planning and legal complexities that have the potential to impact financial as well as lifestyle outcomes.

Chris says it’s helping clients to grow and protect their wealth and having the financial freedom to spend more time pursuing their passions and doing the things they love that fuels his professional satisfaction and commitment.

While knowledge and experience are pre-requisite for the often-complex task of financial planning, Chris’ soft skillset is equally valued by his clients and co-workers.

Hardworking, honest and attentive, a colleague recently made comment that Chris “takes initiative to fully understand what needs to be done and strives to accomplish any tasks in front of him. He cares greatly about his job, clients and co-workers and always remains calm and maintains a steady and positive attitude.”

Organised in his approach, Chris listens, understands and interprets the more complex aspects of financial planning, personal insurance, superannuation and investments to create and implement a customised financial plan specific to individual needs.

Among the more recent examples of his holistic approach is a situation where he negotiated a significant trauma insurance claim. Not only was the cash benefit received by the client valuable, Chris also influenced a considerable tax saving that benefited the client’s overall financial position as a result of his recommended claim payment method. Further, the client was also able to retain their trauma cover policy, which in most other circumstances would have been cancelled following the claim.

For Chris, his professional success boils down to a genuine desire to help clients to be financially successful and have the confidence to live a rich and fulfilled life.

Personally…
Chris enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle. Regularly visiting the gym and running are fitness habits developed from his youth rowing and playing rugby.

Relaxing involves walking his dog at the beach and in local parks, catching up with friends and family and exploring different restaurants. Family and friends are important to Chris and when asked how he’d like to be remembered, he simply says to have been known as a kind and reliable friend.

While Chris says there are several continents on his list to explore, he usually finds himself going back to Europe!
